Intimacy Coordinator

Even the most aware directors are in a position of power towards their crew and their actors. This, combined with feelings of shame surrounding sexuality and openly talking about it, and plain sexism, often led to intimate scenes in films not being rehearsed and worked on properly. They were often improvised on set, young female actors were used and abused. In the wake of metoo, intimacy coordination is stepping up against this – so that intimate scenes can be built constructively and and while respecting the boundaries of all involved parties.

I am constantly educating myself, am active in awareness work and I am looking forward to start applying this knowledge in film projects.
